DESIGN
We decided to present the problem in a way that would be influenced by the emotions of the individual recipient. To achieve this, we decided to use a convex mirror, which gives a fish-eye effect and shows a wider spectrum of the reflected world. We placed it on a base of sheet steel covered in soot, which is supposed to make your fingers dirty when you touch it. It is slightly offset from the round mirror. This symbolizes the excessive extraction of raw materials from the earth's interior, especially coal, on which our economy is heavily dependent.
DESIGN
Another element is lime water, enclosed between the mirror and the plexiglass. Touching the steel element activates a pump that forces air into the space with the lime water. A chemical reaction takes place, making the water cloudy and white. The mirror shows the world we know and live in today. If we don't change our behavior and continue to operate in an environment focused on growth, our world will soon be gone. We will have to face a new reality.
